Stephanie Beck is a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist at Genworth Financial where she develops strategies and implements programs designed to support the retention and success of every employee. She is responsible for maintaining and promoting the company’s global D&I strategy focusing on employee engagement, inclusion, communication, change management, and learning initiatives. In this role, Stephanie combines her passions for serving others, community involvement, and creating inclusive workplace cultures. 

Stephanie earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Journalism from Montclair State University and her master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Richmond. In Stephanie’s short professional career, she has gained a wide range of experience; she’s served communities as a Team Leader in AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, has worked in the insurance industry for two Fortune 500 companies, and is currently enlisted in the Air National Guard where she serves as a Personnel Specialist and member of the 192nd Fighter Wing’s first Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council. Stephanie recently obtained her Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and is certified in Diversity and Inclusion by Cornell University.  She also enjoys serving on the Richmond Junior League’s Community Advisory Board.

As a first generation American of Colombian descent, Stephanie is passionate about helping other “first gens” achieve career success. She attributes her passion for continuous learning and strong work ethic to her upbringing as a child of immigrants, but also understands the pressures that can create for young professionals. During her spare time, Stephanie enjoys cooking, reading, fitness, and spending time with her son and husband.
