Paul Spicer is the publisher and editor-in-chief of Richmond Grid magazine, a solution-oriented platform for community journalism, and a consultant for cause-oriented brands. He is also an author, journalist, and a community advocate. His early career was devoted to helping launch innovative startups and socially conscious businesses throughout the United States. In addition, he helped AOL, IBM, and other large businesses market to special populations such as customers with disabilities, older adults, and veterans. As the communications field evolved, Paul co-founded Compleo, an international digital marketing agency at the intersection of technology, fundamental public relations and trendsetting interactive media. There he assisted clients such as CarMax, AMF, and SnagAJob target new ways to use social media to interact with audiences and listen to their customer needs. In 2010, Paul became a partner at Être  Communications where he helps the firm deliver digital marketing, brand management, brand publicity, media relations, and advertising for a client portfolio of brands with a powerful story to tell. In addition to marketing and publishing, Paul serves on the board of an arts fund that provides support to artists with special needs. He is the winner of the Technology Influencer of the Year Award by RVA Tech Council, Muse Award by VMFA, Top 40 Under 40 by Style Weekly, and his publication is the recipient of Best for the World award by B Corporation. When he’s not working, Paul can be found in the James River Park System with his family and two dogs.
